Review: Sexy Little Sinner by J. Kenner

J. Kenner. Lord have mercy. This author, y'all has me hook, line and sinker. The words she writes are nothing short of perfection. The characters she creates in that gorgeous head of hers are people so relatable that I swear I know them in real life. Kerrie and Connor's story is everything I want in my naughty bedtime stories. There's fire blazing between them, there's office romance as well as a hint of forbidden romance making for a sinfully sweet combination that is totally unforgettable.

Story Line: Kerrie is the office manager of Connor's security firm. They had a thing - a glorious naughty thing - a while back. Connor ended things, yet by the grace of God, they kept things super casual and normal at the office. Until the engagement party. Until that utility closet and a little too much alcohol. Can we pause a second and talk about how freaking hot that opening scene was? I mean, I already knew I was going to love this book, but from page one I was totally captivated. Anyways, this story goes on because Kerrie no longer accepts Connor's reasons for pumping the breaks. You see, he thinks he's doing the right thing since he's 14 years older than her. But age is just a number, darling.

Interaction: Kerrie is mega fierce. She is a strong, independent woman who goes after what she wants. And I so adore that about her. She isn't afraid to tell Connor exactly how it is and exactly what she wants from him. It's a beautiful and inspiring thing. And Connor, oh Connor. He thinks he's doing the right thing. He paints Kerrie as this unattainable, forbidden fruit after they broke up. But she is so far from that. However I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy his struggle with what he thinks is right and wrong. Because that struggle is what makes this book pure magic.

Laundry: If you're wondering how good the laundry is, clearly you've never read a J. Kenner novel before. Let me paint a little picture for you. He travels south of the border in a utility closet, all the while telling her how wrong it is. It. Was. DELICIOUS. And that, my friends, is just the tip of the ice burg. There's a "laundry" club. There's a hotel room. And there's so much raw magnetism, it could pull the magnets off my refrigerator 100 miles away. SO. DANG. GOOD.

Depth: Kerrie's position at the firm ends up being so much more than just office manager. She's gone undercover before as a model (yes she's that gorgeous). And now, in SLS she needs to go undercover again. This time, at a sex club. And who is chosen as her partner? Oh yes. And the result is not just some of the most incredible laundry scenes ever, but also some intense characters as well as a twist in the story you never saw coming. I should expect these things from JK, however she always manages to throw me for a loop and then reel me back in with her mastery.

Sexy Little Sinner gave me every feel in the book. My heart raced, my jaw dropped, my toes curled and I even had a tear or two. I loved every moment of this story and anxiously await her next release.
